Dating Los Latinos Vs White Guys: What’s the Difference?

I’ve been dating for 12 years (yikes!) and consider myself an equal opportunity employer. I don’t discriminate and have dated my fair share of white boys. Ultimately, I stuck to “my kind” and I am currently dating a Latino.
In my single gal journey, I have realized there are differences between Latino men and white guys. How men treat women does depend on a guy’s cultural background. So, who wins? Is it better to date a Latino or a white guy? Let’s compare.
Intimate vs. Reserved
When dating a Latino, there’s a level of intimacy that you don’t necessarily have when you’re with a white boy. They are affectionate, romantic, open doors and usually have manners. White men, on the other hand, are usually more reserved, a bit cold and not always as observant.
Latinos protect their mujer.
After speaking to my girlfriends, the general consensus is that Latino men are more caring than white men. For example, when you’re walking down the street with your Latino guy and he insists that you walk on the inside of the sidewalk, it makes an big impact. It shows that he cares because he doesn’t want you to get hit by a car, and that he also takes charges.
About their mommas…
Not to say they’re perfect – Latino men can be machista and jealous at times – but they have good intentions. Many protect their woman as if they were protecting their mother, and when it comes Latino men, nothing is more important than their momma. Remember that ladies: you get the man and their mom.
All that Spice
Who doesn’t want to have a night with William Levy? Ok, maybe not the William Levy. Still, Latino men are fiery, full of passion, and always want to take care of their women. Unless you’re dating Justin Timberlake who’s “Bringing Sexy Back,” or Brad Pitt who is a loving and doting husband, you aren’t always going to get that sizzle with a white guy. White men are more laid back; they let their woman take charge. Their idea of the perfect date may just be watching a football game at a dive bar. I’m not saying this applies to all white men, but that has been my experience. It’s just not sexy.
To be fair, not all men are the same. There are Latinos who are dry, lack manners and rarely show affection. There are white guys who will wine and dine a woman. There are exceptions to the rule. However, in the battle between dating los Latinos versus the white boys, Latinos take the win.
